“I am not the same having seen rivers running and the sun shining on the other side of the world” – Unknown

Standing on the rim of the Grand Canyon one starts to feel very tiny in this great world. Suddenly life’s worries feel so small and insignificant as the beauty of nature nourishes the soul. Although I had a great time exploring the crazy cities of LA and Vegas, I was in great need of some mother nature time! For me, nothing is a better de-stress than spending time in the great outdoors, breathing fresh air.

We visited the South Rim (an easy 4 hour drive from Vegas), hiked down the canyon along the South Kaibab Trail to Skeleton Point, and watched the sun set from Lipan Point with a view over the Colorado River. The visitors centre plays a great film about the canyon history and the free shuttle buses makes getting around the park nice and easy.

You have to see it with your own eyes to fully appreciate this stunning landscape and watch it transform before your eyes in the different lights of the day!
